Award-Winning `Oldboy' to Screen With English Subtitles

The film "Oldboy", winner of the runner-up prize at the 57th Cannes Film Festival Saturday, will screen on DVD with English subtitles on Wednesday and on June 5 in Seoul.
The film, directed by Park Chan-wook, was given the grand prize of the jury, the second most important award at Cannes after the Palme d'Or, which went to Michael Moore's documentary "Farhenheit 9/11".
Based on a Japanese comic book, the film stars Choi Min-sik as a man bent on revenge after being kidnapped and incarcerated in a hotel room for 15 years without explanation.
"Oldboy" will screen at 5 p.m. Wednesday and at noon on June 5 at Seoul Selection, a bookstore that specializes in providing books, music and videos on Korea for foreigners. Tickets are 3,000 won each. For more information call (02) 734-9565 or go to www.seoulselection.com.
